New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs announced on Saturday (May 30) that the nationwide lockout in the contribution zone will be extended by June 30. The ministry also issued guidelines to reopen all restricted activities in other areas in a phased manner.

As consultants, all places of worship, shopping malls, hotels, and hospitality areas may reopen from 8 June. However, the night curfew has been relaxed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., meaning that during this time the movement of individuals will be prohibited throughout the country except for essential services. The advisor also said that no permission, document, or e-pass will be required for inter-state travel.

In areas outside the control zone, the following activities will be permitted from 8 June:

However, if a State / Union Territory proposes to regulate the movement of individuals, based on the reasons for the assessment of public health and condition, it shall be in respect of the restrictions and related procedures imposed on such movement. Reopening of schools, colleges, and educational institutions:

In the second phase, schools, colleges, etc. will be opened. State governments have been advised to consult at the institution level with parents and other stakeholders. Based on the feedback, a decision will be taken to reopen these institutions in July. The ministry will then prepare SOPs for these institutions.

Based on the assessment of the situation, the government will fix the dates for the resumed services of the following activities in Phase III:


International flights

Metro Rail

Cinema halls, gymnasiums, swimming pools, amusement parks, bars and auditoriums, assembly halls, and similar places.

Social, political, sports, entertainment, educational, cultural, religious work, and other large gatherings will be tied.

Assembly for wedding ceremony/funeral:

A maximum of 50 people can attend the wedding ceremony while 20 can attend the funeral or funeral of the deceased.

Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh government led by Shivraj Singh Chauhan announced that the lockout in the state was going to be held by June 15.
